Who is Medcorp International?
Anne Berberian and Silva Karageozian are daughters of Dave Berberian, founder of Medcorp International. Anne and Silva take great pride in serving the eye care community throughout the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and South America.
We are a woman-owned, family business guiding eye care professionals and their patients on their quest for prosthetic lenses. We offer a personalized approach, working closely with eye care professionals, to tailor each prosthetic lens to meet their patient’s individualized needs.
Medcorp provides clients with a specialized medical product of exceptional quality. The attention to detail at Cantor Barnard Ltd, is also inherent at Medcorp International. We pride ourselves in providing detail-oriented and friendly customer service to our eye care professionals. We value our lengthy relationship with Cantor Barnard, continuing the tradition established by our father, Dave Berberian and David Cantor.
Medcorp International History
Dave Berberian founded Medcorp International in 1998 after four decades spent in the pharmaceutical industry working at large corporations in the U.S. and abroad. Dave’s vast knowledge of marketing and sales of medical products, especially contact lenses, coupled with relationships cultivated during his corporate career, led to the establishment of Medcorp International.
A lasting friendship with David Cantor of Cantor Barnard Ltd. was forged during his 7 years building the Allergan U.K division. This connection allowed Medcorp to serve as a major U.S. distributor of prosthetic lenses for Cantor Barnard. It is with great pride that sisters Anne Berberian and Silva Karageozian took the helm at Medcorp, since Dave’s sudden passing in 2025. Dave’s legacy continues to this day.
These highly reproducible Cantor Prosthetic and Nissel Custom hand painted lenses are made by Cantor Barnard Ltd., a world class manufacturer of custom contact lenses in the United Kingdom. Cantor Barnard Ltd. is the largest independent contact lens manufacturing company in Europe and MDR certified. Cantor Barnard’s lenses are manufactured at their labs in Northamptonshire. Medcorp offers clients the ‘Cantor Prosthetic’ and ‘Nissel Custom’ hand-painted lenses. Both of these prosthetic lenses provide patients a wide range of sizes, colors, toric features, pinhole, occlusion and power specification. There is even further customization offered by the Nissel Custom lenses.
Also, for patients with offset pupils or forms of strabismus, there are stabilized lenses carefully designed and hand painted to meet all the patients eye care needs including outstanding aesthetics.
History of Cantor Barnard Ltd.
David Cantor began working with contact lenses in 1964.
The Cantor & Silver partnership was created in 1973 when David Cantor incorporated his business with Leslie Silver. A limited company was formed in 1975 and relocated in Brackley, Northamptonshire where it currently resides.
In the 80’s and 90’s Cantor & Silver Ltd acquired several companies: Focus Contact Lenses Limited, CLM (Contact Lenses) Limited, Specialty Contact Lenses Limited and Cambridge Precision Limited.
In August of 2000, Cantor & Silver Ltd acquired Nissel Ltd and the company name changed to Cantor & Nissel Ltd.
By 2024 there were further advances, with Garth Barnard taking the helm as Managing Director. The company name was changed to Cantor Barnard Ltd.
Garth Barnard has been with the company for over 37 years and plans to continue a steady expansion, taking the business forward with exciting new products in the pipeline.
