Most care systems for prosthetic & hand painted contact lenses are OK – Clear Care, Aquify MPS, Sauflon All in one Lite are a few we have found to be compatible with our lenses.
Surfactant cleaners – OK to use but have the patient rub in the palm of hand & not between two fingers.
Enzymes are OK as well – remember the neutralization step.
Tears: Best to use unpreserved or unit dose tears as some tears are preserved with ingredients that can uptake into the lens matrix and cause problems-red eye etc.
The advent of Disposable Lenses has negated Contact Lens Care Companies and Manufactures doing compatibility studies with various lens materials. The after care market has been greatly reduced by the Disposable Daily wear lens.
